About Us

Melanin Foundation is a nonprofit organization set up in Ghana, with the vision of spreading out to wherever people with dark skin live on the globe.

 

Our mission is to raise awareness or consciousness about the essence of the Melanin which is a key constituent of the skins of dark-skinned people across the world.

 

We seek to educate people on the massive benefits:

 

of the dark skin, hence,  the urgent need to campaign against skin bleaching or the practice of tampering with the production of Melanin in the body.

We also create awareness on the harmful effects of skin bleaching on the general health of those who practice Skin bleaching.

 

We work closely with very astute dermatologists and other health experts to help people with skin problems due to bleaching to enable them quit bleaching safely without much damage to the skin.

 

We also undertake other youth empowerment activities to help the youth of dark-skinned descents to whip up positive body image in them

Our greatest wish is to see all people with dark skins to value and cherish the Melanin in them, without any thoughts or attitudes of changing their skin color to any other complexion.

 

We also strongly desire to see the dark-skinned person accepting his/her true identity and embracing such unique identity with utmost pride and dignity
